Overview
Birth, marriage, or other changes in the family may require adding a member to your ration card. Most state Food & Civil Supplies portals offer an online member addition service after login.
Eligibility
- You are the head of family or an authorised member of an active ration card
- The new member is a resident of the same household
- The new member has a valid Aadhaar number and is not already seeded to another active ration card
Documents Required
- Existing ration card number and copy
- Aadhaar card of the member to be added
- Address proof of the household
- Relationship proof (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.)
- Passport-size photograph if required by the state

Visit your state ration card portal
Open the official state Food & Civil Supplies portal. Use the NFSA portal to find the correct state link.

Log in to your account
Enter your registered mobile number, password, or OTP to access the ration card dashboard.

Choose the option to add a member or update family details. Enter the ration card number if it is not pre-filled.

Fill in the member's name, Aadhaar number, date of birth, relationship, and gender exactly as per Aadhaar.
