Overview
Birth registration is mandatory in India and should ideally be done within 21 days of birth. The Civil Registration System portal allows parents or hospital authorities to apply for a birth certificate online by submitting birth records and identity details.
Eligibility
- The child was born in India
- The informant is a parent, guardian, or authorised hospital official
