Open the official Voter Portal at https://voters.eci.gov.in. The homepage displays options for new voter registration, login, and application tracking.

New Voter Registration

Click "New Voter Registration" or "Register as a New Elector" to start Form 6.

Always check that the URL is voters.eci.gov.in to avoid fake registration websites.

Create an account or log in

Click Login/Register and enter your mobile number and email to create a voter portal account. Existing users can log in with their credentials or OTP.

Upload your photograph and documents

Upload a recent passport-size photograph and scanned copies of identity, address, and age proof. Make sure the file size and format match portal requirements.

Review and submit the application

Check every field carefully, enter the captcha if shown, and submit. The portal generates an application reference number immediately.

Track application and BLO verification

Use the Track Application Status option on the portal to follow progress. A Booth Level Officer may contact you for address verification.
