Overview
Spelling mistakes or outdated demographic details in Aadhaar can cause verification failures. UIDAI allows limited demographic corrections online through myAadhaar, while major name changes or biometric updates require a visit to an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre.

- Your registered mobile number is accessible for OTP
- The requested correction is supported online, or you are ready to visit an enrolment centre

Open https://uidai.gov.in and navigate to the myAadhaar section to begin the correction process.

Log in with Aadhaar and OTP
Enter your Aadhaar number, fill in the captcha, and click Login With OTP to receive the verification code on your registered mobile.

Go to Update Your Aadhaar and choose the option to update demographics such as name, date of birth, gender, or address.

Pick the field that needs correction and enter the corrected value. Make sure it matches your supporting document exactly.

Upload the supporting document
Upload a clear, colour scan of the document that supports the correction. The document must be from UIDAI's approved list.

Pay the fee and save the URN
Pay ₹50 online and save the Update Request Number. You can use the URN to track the correction status until it is approved.
